Giants WR Malik Nabers (hip flexor) receives MRI, sits out practice

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers’ availability for Sunday’s game against the visiting New Orleans Saints is up in the air as he deals with a hip flexor injury.

Nabers received an MRI to determine the severity of the injury that he sustained in practice on Thursday. He has been dealing with a groin injury throughout the majority of the season.

Per head coach Brian Daboll, Nabers will not participate in practice on Friday. Daboll said that team doctors have not ruled Nabers out for Sunday.

Nabers, 21, leads the team in catches (75), receiving yards (740) and touchdowns (three). He was the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton likely would see more targets should Nabers sit out for the Giants (2-10) against the Saints (4-8) on Sunday.
