Four-time All-Star forward Paul Millsap has officially retired, he told ESPN on Tuesday.
Millsap earned all his All-Star appearances with the Atlanta Hawks (2013-17) and also was a stalwart for the Utah Jazz (2006-13) during his 16-year career.
Millsap, 39, averaged 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 1,085 regular season games. He had 1,327 steals, 1,045 blocked shots and 541 3-pointers.
Millsap was a second-round pick (47th overall) by Utah in the 2006 draft and quickly emerged as a steal. He left as a free agent and excelled for Atlanta while making the All-Star team in each season of his stay with the Hawks.
His next stop was Denver and he played four seasons with the Nuggets (2017-21). He split the 2021-22 season with the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.
