Commanders sign No. 2 pick QB Jayden Daniels

The Washington Commanders signed quarterback Jayden Daniels to his rookie contract on Friday.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft inked a four-year deal worth $37.75 million.

All the money for the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner is guaranteed and includes a $24.3 million signing bonus.

All contracts involving first-round selections include a fifth-year team option.

Daniels completed 72.2 percent of his passes for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns and four interceptions last season at LSU. He also rushed for 1,134 yards and 10 scores in 12 games.

The Commanders also signed tight end Ben Sinnott (second round) and offensive tackle Brandon Coleman (third round) on Friday, meaning all nine members of the draft class are under contract.
